This internationally beloved troupe of burly dancers, affectionately known as "Trocks," have been praised by The New Yorker for "delivering more bang for the buck than most other classical companies in America."
Combining a wicked comic sense of humor with respect for true classical dance, the all-male, 16-member Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo dance a fine line between high art and high camp. For decades these turbo-charged ballerinas have delighted audiences with parodies of classical ballet. From Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, to La Trovatiara and others signature pieces their studied postures blend with over-the-top gestures and powerhouse technique to deliver performances that amuse every level.
With amazing flexibility, the strength of well-trained men, and the ability to spin like tops and balance on toes as swans, The Trocs have performed with prima ballerinas worldwide and become a mainstay of major dance and classical festivals everywhere.
